Rupesh Paul Files Defamation Case Against Sherlyn Chopra
Recently Sherlyn Chopra filed a complaint against Kamasutra 3D director Rupesh Paul for cheating and threatening her and now, the filmmaker has filed a defamation case against the actress at the Ernakulam Chief Magistrate Court. Sherlyn had also abused Rupesh on micro-blogging site Twitter. Rupesh has alleged that Chopra has defamed him and a case should be registered against her under 499 IPC.
As per his petition, Rupesh and Sherlyn had reached an agreement in October 2012 according to which Sherlyn had to render her services for the production and promotion of Kamasutra 3D for a remuneration of Rs. 25 lakhs. The director says Sherlyn was paid Rs. 5 lakh as an advance on the same day and she was further paid a sum of Rs. 11.20 lakh, in August 2013. Paul has also stated that during the making of the film Chopra extracted valuable gifts from him.
He has also stated that once the shooting of the film commenced, she became non-cooperative and asked for more money. She was irregular at shooting sites and her conduct too was not good. Rupesh says Sherlyn worked for him for only five days, which caused him huge losses.
The court has posted the petition for hearing on March 7.
